During half term, October 2016, a group of students were lucky enough to visit Moscow on the Space Masterclass.
Whilst in Moscow, they visited the sights, including the Kremlin, Red Square, Arbat Street, the beautiful Metro stations, Aleksandr's Gardens and Revolution, Riding House and Bolshoi Theatre squares, to mention a few.
The students attended lectures, 3 of which were given by cosmonauts Sergei Volkov, Alekandr Volkov and Aleksandr Samokutyaev who the students were able to ask questions about their time in space.
Also on the trip, students were able to spend time touring the Museum of Astronautics and the week was rounded off with a tour of Star City where the students were able to see first hand the equipment the cosmonauts train on and had very informative question and answer sessions.
All in all, a very informative and educational trip which we hope has inspired our students and enabled them to see the wide range of careers available in this area.
