Y13 Mock Exams
Dear Student (and Parent)
Please download below the mock exam timetable scheduled for Monday 8th – Friday 12th February. These exams have been on the calendar since the start of the academic year and are nothing to worry about; we always test your learning at this time in Year 13. Of course, this has not been a normal school year and we are aware of how difficult it has been for you, and I want to reiterate my message that these mock exams are only one way of assessing the knowledge and skills you have developed so far. We are still waiting to be told exactly how your final grades will be determined, but your mock results will form only part of this process. All we are asking is that you take these exams seriously and do your best.
You will sit these exams at home, like last Summer, so make sure the conditions are right: you’ll need a quiet, calm atmosphere with no distractions; your phone should not be in the room; you’ll need a clear desk to work on and a clock/watch to check the time. We trust you all implicitly to conduct yourselves properly in accordance with the attached exams information from JCQ.
Next week I will upload the exam papers at the beginning of each session (morning by 9am and afternoon by 1pm) on to ClassCharts. Please follow the instructions on the paper and allow yourself the correct amount of time. Once completed your exam paper should be submitted via ClassCharts or directly to your teacher if that is the arrangement. Please do this as quickly as possible after the exam and no later than 5pm on the same day.
I hope all of this is clear. If you have subject queries please contact your teachers this week. Please also note that there will be no Year 13 lessons next week and we break up after next Friday, 12th February, so make sure you all have a good old rest over half term. With a bit of luck, we’ll see each other in March.
Love to you all and good luck!
