Presentation Evening

BCS Presentation Evening returns to the Pavilion Gardens Octagon

We were thrilled to be back in the Octagon for our annual Presentation Evening on the 14th November.  Mr Yates welcomed the sponsors, our students and their family and friends, and took the opportunity to thank all staff for their hard work throughout the year, before thanking the students for being such a fantastic group of youngsters.  As well as officially presenting GCSE and A Level students with their certificates, over 150 shields, trophies, prizes and certificates were awarded.  We were grateful to be joined by many of our sponsors who were able to hand over their prizes directly to the students.  Mrs Reddy and her music students brought a lump to many throats and a tear to many eyes with their outstanding performances; The Jazz Band did a great job and gave the first of the musical performances with Woodchopper's Ball and Ghostbusters, the choir treated the audience to a haunting rendition of This is Me and also joined the Ukulele Band for a fabulous version of Stitches.  The Y11 GCSE students' performances of Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Demons, brought the house down!  There were readings from our Head Boy, Tom Broadley, and Head Girl, Scarlett Bambridge, and the Vote of Thanks was delivered by our Deputy Head Boy and Girl, Ben Ashmore and Faye Davies.  We would like to say a huge thank you to our sponsors, without whom, this wonderful evening would not take place.  Congratulations to all the prize winners - keep up the good work!!
