Face coverings update

Please see below and important update for students re the wearing of face coverings

Dear Parent/Carer

Following two recent positive cases of Covid-19 in school and the continued rise of cases in the local community we have made the decision that all students should return to wearing face coverings in school in indoor communal areas including corridors (but not classrooms) from Tuesday 29th June 2021 until further notice.

We are aware of the students who may have exemptions due to medical conditions or other reasons and the students in these categories should be wearing a white badge on their blazer. Please contact your son/daughter’s Pastoral Manager if there is a reason for an exemption.

Can we please request that all students bring their own face covering to school.  We do have a limited supply of face coverings and students who arrive in school without one will be provided with one to wear but we would be grateful if you could supply your child with their own face covering as soon as possible.

Whilst writing can we also please remind families that students should be doing a lateral flow test twice weekly and reporting the result to both school and the government as follows:

Many thanks for your support in keeping our school community as safe as possible.
