Ten students were selected to represent the High Peak at the Derbyshire cross-country championships which took place at Tupton Hall School on Saturday, 3rd February.

In difficult conditions, the students showed grit and determination in completing the challenging course at Tupton Hall.

Notable performances on the day:

• Abbie Fryer-Winder - 13th in the Junior Girls category
• Will Tighe - 1st place in the Inter Boys category
• Ellie Wilson and Heather Wilshaw - 5th and 10th respectively in the Inter Girls category.

Both Ellie and Will have now been selected to represent Derbyshire in the English Schools cross-country championships which will take place at Temple Newsam Park, Leeds on the 1st March 2018.
