Mrs Lomas and Mrs Russell were pleased to take some of our Y10 students to the Buxton & Leek College Devonshire Dome to take part in a hair styling competition.

The students were provided with a variety of materials to generate a ‘mood board’.  Once completed, they discussed how this showed their creativity and how this would then correlate to the person’s hair they were styling.  The students worked in pairs and were given a time limit to create a hair style – curling tongues at the ready!  Some of the students brought their own coloured hairspray to add a little extra flare…. I think you’ll agree, they all look fabulous!

The course leader was judge and jury and awarded third, second and first places. Certificates and goody bags were presented and the students were credited on their creativity, humour and willingness to give anything a go.

We are so proud of them. Well done!
