Model United Nations for Schools
Y11 students do us proud at the Model United Nations for Schools' competition
Seven Year 11 students recently took part in the prestigious Model United Nations for Schools' competition for our region.
This year it was held at Stockport Grammar school and our students were competing against students from the top schools in the North West. Model United Nations for Schools is a global series of events and it helps engage young people in international affairs and global politics.
Our team comprised Zoe Worth, Sarah Green, Aidan Rhode, Naomi Craig, Lili Cain, Rose Gilman and Scarlett Bambridge. They all represented our school fantastically well and showed great knowledge, intelligence, commitment, determination and a great sense of fun whilst working with, and competing against, peers from other schools. They were a credit both to themselves and our school.
Buxton Community School has been invited back to compete in further events so if you are a student at BCS (in any year group) please do not hesitate to come and see Mr Thomson for further information.
