The Governors are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Sam Jones as the new Headteacher of Buxton Community School.

During a rigorous selection process involving staff, Governors and representatives of the Trust, Mrs Jones showed herself to be an exceptional candidate to all those involved. She has exceptional ability and is both well qualified and experienced.

Mrs Jones is fully committed to providing the best education possible for our students, as well as to the strong, stable and successful development of our school. As you know she is currently acting Headteacher of the school and will take up the post on a permanent basis with immediate effect.

We are sure that you will join us in congratulating Mrs Jones on her appointment and we are confident that you will support her as she leads the school into a new and exciting future.
